The Last Day.

As she stayed hidden, she tried not to make a move nor take a single breath. She knew that she couldn't stay in the cupboard longer and need to plan an escape. This is the only chance to make it out alive. Taking a deep breath, she opened the cupboard door and started creeping out the open window. As her barefeet stood on the grassy patch of the garden, her eyes was blinded by the sunlight. Grimacing, she tried to adjust her vision. When she spotted the garden gates, she started running for the freedom that she has long craved for.

Just as she was about to reach the gates, the sound of gunshot rang through her ears. In a matter of seconds, an excruciating pain was felt at her abdoment. Glancing down at her nightgown, she saw a blotch of red staining the white gown. She tried to get up but her legs felt as if it was anchored to the ground. In her heart, she knew that this freedom would be short lived.

Its here. So this is how death feels like. As the darkness crept into her vision, she smiled looking at the blue skies and the greeneries.

Okay an attempt to write an essay after eons of not writing. Lol.

Anyways, since today is the last day for 2011, decided to write something. Something to end the year and something start for 2012. Resolutions is really not for me but I'll just provide the highlights for year 2011.

Basically the early part of 2011, I was preparing for the much awaited trip to Europe. It was the highlight of the year for me. Sincerely, i really miss the weather and sceneries there eventhough i was jet lagged most of the time. Shall list down the things that i will never forget of the trip;
1) Bringing the wrong clothes, caused i presumed that it was summer so the weather should be pretty hot but i was way wrong
2) Experience the first jet lag when i reached the hotel in Greece, cause all i wanted to do was sleep throughout
3) Having strawberries and cherries for breakfast and dinner
4) Experiencing the breathless sceneries at the Parthenon
5) Taking the boat rides and getting lost in Venice, Italy
6) Admiring the churches in Rome, Italy,
7) Breathtaking view of the Eye of London, Buckingham palace and most ultimately London Bridge
8) Being a shopaholic at Portsmouth Harbor
9) Lastly and most importantly, seeing the parents faces when they picked me up at the airport arrivals.

When its near year end, work has been more hectic and am becoming more closer to the family. My concept of life has changed. My heart changed. My objectives changed. 2011 has been good to me. And am glad for that.

I don't know what else to write but figures out that the pictures would do more/less justice of 2011.
